This research is based on the worldview of the Mapuche people and their religion and the importance of man's relationship with the whole: the earth, the cardinal points, the sun, the moon or the stars; in turn its gastronomic culture and respect for Mother Earth and its cultural exchange, considering its expansion to the Argentine pampas and the intensification of trade between these and the Creole. It is shown that this people is and has always been of the most important ethnic groups in the country, both because of their demographic social weight and their sense of cultural identity, although when they go to the city, many of them have been losing it. The methodology is historical in nature using primary and secondary sources, especially in research and publications by historians who have dedicated the most dedicated to studying their identity. Finally, it will be possible to conclude whether the language persists, both in young people and adults and the importance in cultural exchange.
