Abstract

The present work focuses on a discussion that aggregates the elements of Adult Education in direct relation with Popular Education and Youth and Adult Education throughout the history of Brazil. A resumption of adult education experiences was carried out, in various historical periods, with the aim of better delimiting their boundaries. This with the purpose of contributing to deepen the reflections produced in the area, as well as to point out the singularities, approximations and distances of each experience addressed. In dialogue with the productions of researchers on the aforementioned theme, we seek to correlate elements of theory and practice with the aim of contributing to the advancement of debates. In the end, elements of Youth and Adult Education were addressed in the current social situation of the country and its obstacles and potential.
