uma experiência de Nowtopia

Abstract

The article deals with the teaching experience held in the course "Special Topics I", in the graduation of History - Licenciatura of Universidade do Centro Oeste do Paraná - UNICENTRO, in 2015, at the campus of Coronel Vivida, western Paraná. There was an interesting interaction between Teaching History and Environmental History, in which concepts and contents were developed for the students, from the context of the region in which they were inserted. The discipline was guided by the problematic of approaching environmental history in order to overcome the dominant narrative of the destruction of nature by the human being. In this perspective, the concept of Nowtopia made possible the learning of human-nature relations that break with the consumerist and individualistic logic of the market, and construct relationships of respect and protection to the environment, in order to go beyond the dominant conception of disjunction between society and nature, aiming to contribute to the training of academics as future teachers of history.
