From the Child and Adolescent Statute to school regulations
an analysis of the right to education

The objective is to identify, in the School's Regulations, the nexuses with the construction of educational law, foreseen in the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA). Therefore, the documentary analysis which corpus was the ECA and the Regulation of a state school in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, was adopted as a methodology. It was possible to infer that the school confers, in the institutional norm, the conceptions emanating from ECA, presenting advances in the direction of apprehending the conception of the right to education as a principle of integral development of the citizen. It’s observed that education professionals, from the definitions of the Regulation, are responsible for the development of actions, as well as the articulations with other agencies for monitoring the application of envisaged sanctions, which can represent an overload for these professionals.
