This study aims to review the literature on teaching visual arts to blind and low-vision students, analyzing theses and articles that use this theme. Inclusive education is becoming increasingly present in schools through the inclusion laws, and this is reflected in the need for classes that promote the development of students regardless of their disabilities. Thus, we seek to understand what productions exist on the subject. What does the academy understand as art teaching methodology from the point of view of inclusion? Who are the researchers in this area? From research conducted in these banks such as BDTD/IBICT, Oasisbr/IBICT, and the electronic library SciELO, we tried to understand what the main characteristics are of these researches regarding the understanding of art, methodology, and inclusion. The result achieved with this research showed that besides there being few works on the subject being published, there is a greater concern with drawing and a scarcity of research that looks at Visual Arts as a whole.
