This article analyzes the relationship between the training of researchers at the postgraduate level in the context of a pandemic and how it has been organized at UFPA and its campuses. The methodology of this research was guided by Historical-Dialectical Materialism with a Qualitative Approach, having the Case Study as a technical procedure. The survey results show that 72% of students had to change/adapt the research method during the pandemic, in addition to difficulties in accessing technologies and the internet that students face. It is concluded that this online training makes it difficult for students to build the conditions for the appropriation and implementation of the theoretical, methodological and technical framework intrinsic to the inseparable relationship established between theory and practice in scientific research.
