Chess in the teaching of Geography

The work is related to possible benefits from practicingchess and possible advantages in the learning process of teaching geography. The research was constructed qualitatively, with bibliographical surveys being carried out in three aspects: the first was related to pedagogical resources that were little used or not even considered as options in basic geography education. The second focused the process of popularization chess in the 20th century and the importance of its inclusion in the school environment. The third was related to its use inteaching geography and the process of didactic transposition. This survey was carried out to gain a general understanding of chess and its possible correlations with geographic elements. From these surveys, it was possible to establish connections between chess and geography and discuss the importance of implementation chess in the school environment.
